Walk Against Warming

25/08/2007 - 1:30pm

Heading into its 3rd year, Walk Against Warming has inspired, motivated and empowered close to one hundred thousand ordinary Australians to take positive action on climate change, and has shown our political leaders that the community is united in demanding more effective and equitable government policies to stabilise greenhouse gases and prevent dangerous climate change.

This year for the first time Queensland Conservation is taking a lead role in the organisation of the Brisbane walk. Participation in the Walk is expected to increase substantially this year. Brisbane will be this year's first walk taking place on August 25th with all other states to follow later. We ask you for your support in making this Queensland's biggest show of support for action to prevent dangerous Climate Change.
