The Save the Spit campaign goes on....

The next meeting to discuss strategies is

Thursday 14 April at 5.30pm at the Puppet Theatre on McIntosh Island, Surfers Paradise.

Interested people are welcome to attend.

It was good to see the support at the Rally last Sunday at the Spit. About 2000 people attended the Rally. The speakers were informative and there was universal support for the motion against the cruise liner terminal.

Support is strong to Save the Spit amongst surfers, dog owners, families, fishermen, commercial and recreational, the adjacent community groups and environmental groups. So far 3000 people have signed the petition, but the organisers hope for 6000 at least.
